PROFILE



Yumino Toyoda is certainly one of those artists who not
only share different cultures through his instrument but
also knows how to communicate the wonder of music to
young generation using five different languages to communicate, and
experiences in all genre from solo-repertoire,
chamber-music, orchestral and opera-repertories. Soloist
& Professor japanese origin's, was born in Germany
(Koeln) and studied in Paris National Conservatory.

At the age of six he is giving his debut at the Berlin-
Philharmonic-Hall with German-Youth- Orchestra
playing Mozart-concerto under direction of Maestro
Ruediger Trantow. Few years later he is going to perform
on Germany-France-Switzerland-Tour playing
Mendelssohn-concerto under direction of Maestro George
Trautwein with same orchestra. During the seventieth, he
won several time the German-youth-competition,violin,
aswell as STEINWAY-competition Berlin,piano. At the
age of eleven, he is entering at Paris conservatory, class
of Maestro Gerard Jarry where,few years later,won first
price by graduating chamber music in 1973 and main
section violin in 1974. After graduating the <troisieme
cycle>, Maestro Arthur Grumiaux invites him to
Bruxelles to study privately and perform together.
Later, Maestro Nathan Milstein at the age of 75 took him to his
side to help performing in front of big audiences. In
Paris, Maestro Yehudi Menuhin invites him to perform as
Duo-recital with Bartok-program. He is going to obtain
several awards at different international competitions
such as Geneva, second price in 1980, Paris-Thibaud 4th
price in 1981 and third price Neaples in 1986, which allows
him to open his career particularly in festivals such as
Luzern, Berlin, Schleswig-Holstein, Weiburg, Nice-cote
d'azur and Costa verde Portugal, Kusatsu in Japan, among many others.
Between 1990-2008,he has been Leader at Bamberg
Symphony Orchestra, Lausanne-Chamber-Orchestra,
Wuerttemberg-Chamber-Orchestra and Guest-
concertmaster at Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. As
soloist, he was performing with Orchestre de la Suisse-Romande,
Deutsches Symphonie Orchestra, Japan
Philharmonic Orchestra, Gulbenkian-Orchestra, Gumma Symphony
Orchestra, Orchestre philharmonique de Nice, Orchestre
de chambre de Lausanne and Wuerttemberg-Chamber-
Orchestra, just to mention few of them. During the
nineties, he creates the <Berliner-Streichtrio> with
members of German Symphony Orchestra and performed
at the Berliner Festspielen.

Yumino Toyoda has performed with prominent artists
like Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Arthur Grumiaux, Vladimir
Ashkenazy, Gary Bertini, Andras Schiff, James Galway,
Maurice Andre, Maurice Gendron, Pierre Dervaux, Jesus
Lopez Cobos, Joerg Faerber, Koji Toyoda, Ken-Ichiro
Kobayashi, Akiko Ebi, David Geringas, George
Trautwein, Gerard Jarry, Gyula Stuller, Emil Naoumoff
and many others. He actually teaches at Toho-school of
Music in Tokyo and gives masterclass at Summer
music-academy in Nice in France.
Regular-Jury-member at japanese international
competitions.
CD-recordings by Denon, Teldec, Telarc, EMI,
orchestral works with Lausanne chamber orchestra, and
recital-recordings by camerata Tokyo and NAT. Japan.
